Abstract

The Southeast Sulawesi NTP index in August 2017 was 93.98 or an increase of 0.99 percent compared to the previous month which was recorded at 93.06. The NTP index of each sub-sector was recorded as follows: Food Crop Subsector (NTPP) 88.92; Horticulture Subsector (NTPH) 88,81; Subsector of Plantation Plantation (NTPR) 88.48; Livestock Sub-sector (NTPT) 105.31; and Fisheries Sub-sector (NTNP) 113,45. While the National NTP Index of 101.60 or rose by 0.12persen from the previous 100.65.
In August 2017, nationally 28 provinces experienced an increase in the NTP Index, while the other 5 provinces experienced a decrease in index. The highest increase was recorded in Lampung Province at 1.82 percent, while the largest decrease was recorded in West Papua Province by 0.44 percent.
In August 2017, Southeast Sulawesi province recorded a 0.38 percent deflation in rural areas. This is due to the decline in the price index in two support groups: foodstuffs fell by 1.13 percent; and housing group which also fell by 0.04 percent. Meanwhile, the processed food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco group increased by 0.50 percent; clothing group 0.10 percent; health groups rose 0.06 percent; education, recreation and sports 0.12 percent; as well as transport and communications group rose by 0.17 percent.
