Abstract

  • The number of the workforce in August 2022 was 1,382.40 thousand people, an increase of 0.09 percent compared to August 2021. In contrast to the increase in the number of the workforce, the Labor Force Participation Rate (TPAK) decreased by 1.27 percentage points.
  • The Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) in August 2022 was 3.36 percent, down 1.22 percentage points compared to August 2020 or down 0.56 percentage points against August 2021.
  • The working population is 1,335.92 thousand people, an increase of 46.69 thousand people from August 2020 and an increase of 8.85 thousand people from August 2021.
  • Employment that experienced the largest percentage increase from August 2021 was the Accommodation and Food and Drink sector (1.31 percentage points). Meanwhile, the sector that experienced the biggest decline was the trade sector (1.01 percentage point).
