Abstract

Farmers Terms of Trade (NTP) is a comparison of the price index received by farmers (It) to the price index paid by farmers (Ib).
NTP is one indicator to see the level of ability/purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the exchange power (terms of trade) of agricultural products with goods and services consumed as well as for production costs.
The FTT of each sub-sector was recorded as follows: Food Crops Sub-Sector (NTPP) 94.37; Horticulture Subsector (NTPH) 110.74; People's Plantation Plantation Sub-Sector (NTPR) 97.47; Livestock Subsector (NTPT) 108.46 and Fishery Subsector (NTNP) 104.38. Meanwhile, the National NTP Index was 107.81 or an increase of 0.50 percent from the previous month's 107.27.
