Abstract

Southeast Sulawesi's NTP in February 2023 was recorded at 98.97 or decreased by 0.06 percent compared to the previous month which was recorded at 99.03.
The decrease in NTP was due to a decrease in the price index received by farmers (It) of 0.32 percent, which was lower than the price index paid by farmers (Ib), which also fell by 0.26 percent.
Farmers Terms of Trade (NTP) is a comparison of the price index received by farmers (It) to the price index paid by farmers (Ib).
NTP is one indicator to see the level of ability/purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the exchange power (terms of trade) of agricultural products with goods and services consumed as well as for production costs.
The FTT of each sub-sector was recorded as follows: Food Crops Sub-Sector (NTPP) 96.42; Horticulture Subsector (NTPH) 110.08; People's Plantation Plantation Sub-Sector (NTPR) 95.49; Livestock Subsector (NTPT) 108.09 and Fishery Subsector (NTNP) 103.45. Meanwhile, the National NTP Index was 110.53 or an increase of 0.63 percent from the previous month's 109.84.
In February 2023, nationally 24 provinces experienced an increase in NTP, while 10 other provinces experienced a decrease in NTP. The highest increase was recorded in South Sumatra Province, which was 2.41 percent, while the largest decrease was recorded in Bangka Belitung Province, which was 2.25 percent.
In February 2023 there was a decrease in the Household Consumption Index (IKRT) in Southeast Sulawesi by 0.36 percent, which was the deepest decline in Indonesia and was caused by a decrease in the index value in the food, beverage and tobacco expenditure group.
