Abstract

Southeast Sulawesi with all the natural resource potential has opportunities in foreign trade which is reflected in export statistics. Export Statistics Data is obtained from Goods Export Notification Documents (PEB) from Customs and Excise. Commodities that have been the mainstay of Southeast Sulawesi include iron and steel as well as various marine products, while export destination countries are spread across the continent of Asia to America.
Southeast Sulawesi's export value in November 2022 reached US$497.67 million, down 12.67 percent compared to October 2022 exports which were recorded at US$569.84 million. Meanwhile, the export volume in November 2022 was recorded at 306.75 thousand tons, an increase of 7.16 percent compared to the export volume in October 2022 which was recorded at 286.26 thousand tons.
The biggest decline in Southeast Sulawesi exports in November 2022 occurred in Iron and Steel commodities worth US$73.70 million (down 13.00 percent), where in October it was US$567.15 million, down to US$493.45 million in November.
Southeast Sulawesi's import value in November 2022 reached US$204.02 million, up 67.32 percent compared to October 2022 or up 4.42 percent compared to November 2021
November 2022 import volume was valued at 390.34 thousand tons, up 40.41 percent compared to October 2022 or down 29.22 percent compared to November 2021.
The increase in imports of the largest category of goods in November 2022 in comparison
October 2022 is Iron and Steel which is US$44.24 million (up 125.28 percent).
