Abstract

In August, combined Year on Year (yoy) inflation for 2 cities in Southeast Sulawesi was 3.52 percent. The highest inflation occurred in Manokwari at 6.40 percent.
The combined inflation rate for the 2 CPI cities month to month (mtm) is 0.12 percent and the year to date (ytd) inflation rate for August 2023 is 1.74 percent.
Commodities contributing to yoy inflation included gasoline, rice, air freight, filter clove cigarettes, inner-city transportation, cars, colleges/universities, white cigarettes, inter-city transportation and gold jewelry.
Commodities that contributed to deflation yoy included shallots, spinach, anchovies, flying fish/engaged fish, kelor leaves, long beans, mackerel/bloated fish/banyar fish/gembolo fish/aso-aso fish, red chilies, young corn / princesses and headscarves / headscarves.
